The rooms are comfortably luxurious and each has its own private balcony that looks onto the lake. The restaurant is 5 star and the ambience with the view over the lake is wonderful. If hunting is your thing, you will not be dissapointed with the options.”

“This is our family choice for a great getaway. It is an easy drive from our home in Dallas, and there is something for everyone. The food is amazing and we all can choose something we love that is a little different than what we normally eat. The most important reason we come back is to hunt with Allan Huffman. He always makes my family feel special, and my husband and son always have a great hunt with Allan. Even if they don’t kill anything, they come back saying it was a great hunt and that Huff always makes it fun and safe. He is knowledgeable about all the animals you can hunt at Rough Creek, but his respect for all the animals harvested is highly impressive. We will continue to make Rough Creek one of our travel venues, and Allan Huffman will always be a respected outdoorsman that continues to impress.”

“Gorgeous boutique style resort overlooking the countryside. The resort grounds were phenomenal and felt serene and peaceful, with all the comforts of home. Rough Creek Lodge and Resort offered amenities that do not compare to any resort, such as five stand shooting, tomahawk throwing, paintball, ziplining, and not to mention the spa and the great pool area! The restaurant was amazing. The quality and service was beyond expected. Overall, my experience has led me to tell everyone I know about Rough Creek Lodge and Resort. “Fabulous customer service, exquisite food, family fun! We loved the smaller “boutique” feeling of this resort. With a 2 year old, we were a bit hesitant but it was an excellent choice. Our daughter was still too young for many of the children’s activities and evening fun; however, it was not a problem at all. She was welcomed into the dining room and staff did an excellent job! The family pool was enjoyable and we were waited on constantly. The spa services were very nice. The views were amazing. I highly recommend this to couples or families. It is truly a gem! We can’t wait to go back!”
